SSG Jordan Kesseler is the Non-commissioned Officer in Charge of Walter Reed Army Institute of Research West Directorate. He was raised in Richland, WA. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Washington State University, Pullman, WA.

Following graduation as a Behavioral Health Specialist from Advanced Individual Training, San Antonio, Texas, SSG Kesseler was assigned to 2-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team as the NCOIC of brigade behavioral health and served as a behavioral health specialist in the embedded behavioral health clinics on Joint Base Lewis-McChord installation from 2014- 2018. His next duty assignment was Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii where he served as the Psychiatric Ward NCOIC and Behavioral Health NCO on 4B2 Inpatient Psychiatric Ward from 2018-2022. He would later go on to be assigned to the 98th Combat and Operational Stress Control Unit, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA where he served as (1) Behavioral Health Team Leader and (2) Platoon Sergeant of Main Treatment Platoon from 2022-2024. As of April 2024, he has been assigned as the NCOIC of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research – West (WRAIR-W), a research detachment of the WRAIR.

SSG Kesseler has earned one Army Commendation Medal with Remote-Device, two Army Commendation Medal, three Army Achievement Medals, three Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and two Certificate of Achievement Awards.

SSG Kesseler is married to Jordan T. Kesseler. They are the parents of two children. As a family they enjoy board games, hiking, and football.
